Moltres vs Exeggutor: Who Wins?

In a direct confrontation, the odds are overwhelmingly stacked in favor of Moltres. As a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon, its primary attacks exploit Exeggutor's greatest vulnerabilities. A Grass/Psychic-type like Exeggutor has a quadruple weakness to Flying-type moves and a standard weakness to Fire-type moves. This means a single Air Slash or Hurricane from Moltres is almost guaranteed to end the battle before it even begins.

Furthermore, Moltres boasts a much higher base Speed stat. This ensures it will almost always move first, giving Exeggutor no opportunity to set up or launch an attack of its own. With access to devastating moves like Flamethrower and Hurricane, Moltres has all the tools it needs to claim a swift and decisive victory.

Can Exeggutor fight back? Its chances are slim, but not entirely zero in theory. Exeggutor has a powerful Special Attack stat and a strong movepool, but its best options are severely hampered.
